OSHA Training Courses
OSHA Courses at BETA
Learn to avoid costly fines and dangerous accidents.
Butler Community College is not an OSHA Training Institute Education Center, but serves as a Host Training Organization for the Great Plains OSHA Education Center at Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, MO.
Courses provide certification and specific training in construction, healthcare, manufacturing and hospitality OSHA requirements. Technical courses on high hazards, occupational safety and environmental compliance topics offer training in the latest health and safety standards.
Maintaining Certifications:
CEUs (continuing education units) are available for many of these courses. Other certifications are also offered. OTIEC MCC provides CEUs for all of our safety and environmental courses.
CM points are accrued by Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIHs) who are certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. Most of OSHA Training Institute Education Courses and HAZWOPER courses are approved for CM points. ABIH requires verification of course attendance.
BCSP points are accrued by Certified Safety Professionals (CSPs) who are certified by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. OSHA Training Institute Education Center safety and environmental courses are approved for BCSP points. CSPs may earn Continuance of Certification (COC) points and OHSTs or CHSTs may earn Certification Maintenance points by taking these courses. BCSP points are determined by CEUs (1 point for every CEU).
Training for Business and Industry
Group training in OSHA specific courses is also available. Whether it’s at Butler or at the company, BETA can certify a safety team that meets the latest OSHA standards.
